L.S.R.C.—Researchers in the Duke University’s Lidecken Lab have declared their mosquito breeding initiative on West Campus Plaza a success.
The initiative was spurred by growing concern over global warming’s negative effect on mosquito populations. Researchers decided to develop the perfect habitat for mosquitoes on the Plaza to increase the species’ population in the wild. They made sure there was plenty of sources of hydration as well as sufficiently high humidity, through the use of mist, for the mosquitoes to breed and also provided a constant source of food for them by luring unsuspecting humans to the Plaza so the mosquitoes could feed on their blood.
Meanwhile, reports of a cockroach breeding program hidden somewhere on campus are unconfirmed.
